Shape Viewfinders

Learning the concepts of geometry begins at a very young age. As children are introduced to the names of shapes, they should also be encouraged to recognize these figures in the world around them. Creating a Shape Viewfinder is a playful way to engage children to intentionally look for the math in their everyday lives and to discuss similarities and differences they might notice. Join us in making a Shape Viewfinder and discussing the potential of these types of learning opportunities.
