Frequently Asked Workshop Questions
1. Are AIMS workshops eligible for Title Funds?
AIMS workshops are eligible for funding under the following sections
of No Child Left Behind:
- Title I, Part A (Improving Basic Programs Operated by Local Educational
Agencies)
- Title II, Part A (Teacher and Principal Training and Recruitment
Fund)
2. Can I share the cost of the workshop with other districts or schools?
If you would like to share workshop costs with another district, AIMS
will facilitate the billing process.
3. Can
AIMS provide sustained staff development?
When you schedule multiple workshop days, AIMS facilitators will build
on previous workshops, and will provide follow-up support and assessment
of these workshops to maximize their effectiveness.
4. How far in advance should I schedule my workshop?
Please allow three months lead time for scheduling your workshop. If
applying without discussing dates with us, please indicate several acceptable
alternative dates.
5. Is college credit available for AIMS workshops?
Graduate-level college credits are offered for all courses. Contact AIMS
for information.
6. Are there opportunities for an individual to enroll in an AIMS Workshop?
All AIMS workshops are hosted by a school or district for their teachers. If you would like to attend an AIMS workshop as an individual, please contact us and we will explore the possibility of your participating in a workshop near you. |
